About Tea

Could it be possible that we talk of snacks and not of tea..?? Never !

Tea has always been preferred over coffee, mainly because of its low caffeine content, Yet tea drinkers have now started to move from black tea towards green tea ,oolong tea,and the champagne of teas …white tea. All from the same plant camellia sinensis, these have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. These varieties differ from each other due to their growing conditions , harvest and processing times.

The Classic "Chai",is undoubtedly a favorite with us,and the way we make it is ….

For 2 cups;
1 ½ cups water
½ cup milk,
3-4 tsp sugar
Black tea loose leaves ,1-2 tsp
Spices -small piece of cinnamon, 2 pods cardamom, powder these coarsely using a mortar and pestle in small quantities to maintain freshness.

Keep the water and milk mix to boil, add the sugar, and a pinch of the powderd spices, once it comes to a boil, add the tea leaves, and take it off the heat and let it steep for a few minutes , the tea leaves will settle down .Strain and serve hot.
