52 weeks of creative exposure : week 20

Chiaroscuro in photography - my experiment

Moody light, photographing moody light, tutorial, simijois
You all know my love for chiaroscuro in art. I am strongly influenced by artists like Vermeer, Rembrandt, Goya, Watteau, Both and so many more. Often when I am looking through the classic works of these famous artists, am left speechless and quite overwhelmed .  There is so much beauty and mystery in the folds of the shadows of some most of these paintings, that one can spend hours gazing and still there will be more to explore. I wish I had a micro fraction of their creative vision.

Here is my experiment with moody light and long exposure.  I am really no expert in the field but I did a tutorial for some of my friends on moody light.  However the above image is done very differently than the tutorial. As I have used a 20 sec exposure. Planning to do a tutorial on it, if you guys want me to.

Below is my collection of some of my moody images on Steller.

That's all for this week, hope you guys have a wonderful weekend. Hugs !!
