Week 30-31

A large chunk of my childhood was spent in Dehradun - a valley surrounded by mountains. As a child I was very contemplative and somehow the mountains made me very melancholy. I would always wonder what was beyond the mountains, hoping there was a world outside of the mountains for me to explore and conquer. I have no idea why/how the feeling came about but it was a very compelling feeling. We moved to Lucknow and  Dehradun was a distant past and I never really missed it….

Somewhere that feeling disappeared and was replaced by a deep love for the mountains, the cool air and the rustic atmosphere. Sitting by the road side with a chai in one hand and my eyes gazing at the mountains…something so soothing about the whole experience. I think the mountains, they took their time, to embrace me.
