52 Weeks of creative exposure - Week 38

Still life photography, fruits, Moody shots Simi Jois Photography
The last two weeks have been so hectic, I have no idea how I am functioning. Between photography assignments, recipe submissions, laundry, dishes, cooking ….it’s been quite a whirlwind. I sincerely admire people who balance all of this and more with such ease. Yesterday, I took time off. I just put my feet up and watched a movie and just relaxed, resulting in a huge mountain of work glaring at me today. Just put everything aside and did my favorite thing. Took a cup of coffee and sat down to blog, everything else after, even breakfast.

After talking time off yesterday, by night I was itching to do something…after everyone else was fast asleep - I got out my tripod and camera and made this image. This image had been on my mind since the last two weeks the only thing that was stopping me from creating was apple leaves. I must have walked 4-5 miles around the neighborhood to find a wild apple tree, so I can get some leaves. No luck! The day before I was working out at the gym and turned my eye to a little bird on a tree, from far it looked like an ordinary tree, then I saw a lone apple hanging from the tree. Oh the joy !! The admin staff was very amused when I asked them for some leaves and they did oblige. :) You have no idea how happy those leaves made me. I think they really contribute so strongly to this image.

I needed some color, after the white on white tutorial. There was lot of white. Thank you guys for joining me in the madness of whites. I just loved the energy !!

That’s it for now, will hopefully get into my kitchen this week and get a recipe out.
